On your device
Your progress, streak, theme and a random player id live in your browser’s localStorage. We don’t use cookies for the game. Clearing your browser storage clears them.
On our servers
When you finish a day, we store that random player id with your answers, score, time taken and the date. The id isn’t linked to your name, email or device, and we use these records to keep scores fair and to count how many people play. This data is held with Supabase on servers in Mumbai, India, and the site is served by Vercel.
If you add an email
Adding an email is optional. If you do, Supabase Auth stores it and sends a magic link so your streak and Supporter status follow you across devices. One email per sign-in. No newsletter, no marketing.
Payments
The Supporter Pass is sold by Paddle.com Market Ltd as merchant of record. Paddle handles your payment details and receipts; we receive a confirmation and an order id, never your card details. Paddle’s privacy policy applies to the payment itself.
Analytics
We use PostHog, hosted in the EU (Frankfurt), to count anonymous events such as a game started, a card answered, a game completed or a grid copied, so we can see whether the game works. It runs without cookies and without browser storage, under your random player id; no names, no emails, no session recordings. No advertising trackers, no cross-site profiling, and we never sell or share your data for advertising.
Your rights
Email hello@yallafact.app to see, export or delete anything we hold about you. Tell us your player id (shown in About) or the email you used. We answer within 14 days. Yalla Fact, operated by Youssef Awwad, Amman, Jordan, is the data controller.
